Most aspects of our modern balcony and stair works are manufactured using bright polished marine grade (316) stainless steel Our furniture is also made from stainless steel and mixed materials.
The glass used is highly polished 10 mm thick toughened for framed balconies , and up to 20 mm thick laminated toughened for the frameless style.
Any units that have a walk out area are made with a sub frame structure that is manufactured from steel, ‘hot dip galvanised’ to a thickness of 55 microns giving a rust/corrosion proof coating that will last for many years.
The joists that support are as a rule c24 tanalised timber and are 100 % adequate for the purpose. Integral joist hangers are already pre welded to the structure to allow the joists to be easily bolted into place.
Powder coating in any colour is the final process before installation. For the balcony floor we use either composite boards or hardwood decking boards. Composite is more expensive but superior quality with no warping, rotting, woodworm, splinters and no need to ever paint or treat with preservative or stain. It doesn’t suffer with algae growth and can be easily cleaned.
We have constructed first floor balconies to be used for casual outdoor relaxation or as a secondary route to the garden/ patio area .
Our Juliet balconies are varied in design and can be fitted to most houses with French doors .
